In light of the upcoming plans to close the Troy Public Library, we are receiving a number of questions about how this will affect services at AHPL for Troy residents. We hope this fact sheet will help answer your questions on how the unfortunate closing of the Troy Public Library will affect library services to Troy residents.

1. What services will Auburn Hills Public Library provide when the Troy Public Library closes?

Troy residents will still be allowed to enter Auburn Hills Public Library and browse its collections, for all members of the public have that right.

2. Will Auburn Hills Public Library actually stop serving my children even though they go to the Auburn Hills Schools or a private school within Auburn Hills?

Correct. Auburn Hills Public Library will be providing services based on the community where you live or work, not the school you attend.

3. When the Troy Library closes, will I be able to buy an individual library card from Auburn Hills Public Library?

No. Auburn Hills Public Library does not sell individual or household cards.

4. When the Troy Library closes, what will be the last day that Auburn Hills Public Library provides services to Troy residents?

5. Where should I return Auburn Hills Public Library materials when the Troy Library closes?

Auburn Hills Public Library materials should be returned directly to Auburn Hills Public Library.
